Welcome, my name is Dara del Rio. I work with individuals and small groups of women guiding medicinal mushroom journeys. I weave modern techniques with ancient wisdom, specializing in trauma resolution and spiritual discovery.
Seeking out a guided journey with mushrooms sometimes comes as a spiritual calling, and at other times as a last resort for healing something that hasn't responded to any other form of treatment. Often times, it is a mixture of the two. If you've found my website, it's most likely because you know it is time to try something new. Maybe you have heard about the healing benefits of mushrooms but want to proceed with caution. You are right to do so.
When choosing a guide, it is imperative that you feel safe, supported, and seen by her. More than that, she should inspire confidence in you that she is equipped to help you expertly navigate any terrain that might emerge during your experience, whether within the realm of the psyche or the spirit.
Our work together will inevitably weave together many threads of your life: the world of the living and that of your ancestors. The whispers of the plants, animals, and land that you inhabit. The somatic wisdom of your own body and the spiritual connection that you may or may not remember having with the cosmos since the time of your birth, and before.
On this website you will find all of the information you need to know on my training and credentials, testimonials from some of my long-time clients, what a guided journey looks like with me & the cost. If you want to hear more of my personal voice, you can also find my mission in offering this work as well as blog posts that I have written. Or, skip all of the reading and just get to know me face-to-face by booking a consultation call.
I acknowledge my many teachers, guides, and sources of support. I pay special homage to my mentor, Sanchi Reta Lawler. For almost ten years, Reta has been a beacon of light and courage to me in the most foundational ways imaginable. I am extremely lucky to have a true and steady source of guidance from a wise elder, something I hope to one day pay forward in my own old age. I give thanks for all she has taught and continues to teach me.
Please note that I am not a licensed therapist or licensed facilitator yet pursuant to Article 170 of Title 12 CRS and currently offer my services with the sole intention of harm reduction, support, and ceremonial guidance. I am actively pursuing a license and will be amongst the first wave of fully licensed facilitators by early 2025. I adhere to the Natural Medicine Facilitator Code of Ethics. The work I do is fully legal in the state of Colorado.
